Summer Recreation Program Returns

The Summer Recreation Program for Borough youth is back at Hoff’s Playground starting this summer. Youngsters entering Kindergarten to grade 5 can enjoy both new and traditional activities Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings for 5 weeks. The program will run from Tuesday, June 29th until Thursday, July 29th from 8:30 until 11:30.

Parents and guardians can sign their children up for whatever weeks work best with their family schedule. The weekly fee is $50 per child for residents and $75 for non residents; a $25 fee holds your spot with full payment expected by the Friday before your child will attend. Among planned activities are outdoor play, sport instruction, arts and crafts, exploring nature and traditional games.

One of the new features of the Summer Rec Program is the ability to operate rain or shine because of the Haddon Heights Cabin renovations and the new Haddon Heights Community Center. With these two venues, the staff will have ample room to divide the age groups and provide interest appropriate indoor activities.

Registration is now open. Both the Summer Program Registration form and the Borough Release form are now available. Enrollment is on a first come basis and registration will be accepted at Borough Hall in person, through the drop box or by mail. If you have any questions please contact Kathy Lange, Director of Parks and Recreation at kathylange@verizon.com or 546-4852.
