The Haddon Heights Alliance to Prevent Substance Use Disorder (HHAPSUD) is the Borough’s representative organization for the Municipal Alliance Program. The Alliance to Prevent Substance Use Disorder Program, which is a network of community-based prevention programs, was established and is maintained by the Governor's Council on Substance Abuse Disorder (GCSAD).  The GCSAD was created to coordinate statewide services involving alcoholism and drug abuse. It also is the funding source for the HHAPSUD Program.  The Camden County Alliance to Prevent Substance Use Disorder is the County organization responsible for overseeing each individual municipal alliance.  The HHAPSUD determines how funding is distributed throughout our municipality. In addition, the HHAPSUD raises money (cash-match funds as well as in-kind funds) as required by the GCSAD guidelines. The HHAPSUD is comprised of community members to include residents, police officers, council members, and school representatives.
