Planning and Zoning Board

All meetings are held on the third (3rd) Thursday of the month at Borough Hall, Auditorium at 7:00 pm.  At present, meetings are being held in the Haddon Heights Community Center located at 321 7th Avenue while Borough Hall is under renovation.

2026 Meeting Dates are as follows:

  • March 19
  • April 16
  • May 21
  • June 18
  • July 16
  • August 20
  • September 17
  • October 15
  • November 12
  • December 17

On January 20, 2009, the Mayor and Council adopted an Ordinance moving the Zoning Board of Adjustment’s powers, duties, and responsibilities to the Planning Board to permit a more effective process, economic savings, and increased satisfaction.

The Planning Board has the following powers:

  • Grant subdivisions
  • Grant conditional use approval
  • Grant site plan approval
  • Grant variances for those seeking relief from Borough Code
  • Hear appeals of decisions made by the Zoning/Code Enforcement Official
  • Hear requests for interpretation of the Land Development Regulations or map
