Independence Day Celebration - Friday, July 4 @ 9am

-
parade

Haddon Heights will be celebrating Independence Day on Friday, July 4, 2025

We hope you’ll join us in Haddon Heights to celebrate our nation’s birthday on Friday, July 4! The parade begins at 9 AM, starting on Station and 2nd Aves. It will proceed down Station Ave, turn left onto 10th Ave at the cannons, and head up High Street to Hoff’s Park.

New to the parade route for this year – FLOATS! Big, small, any shape and size… we want to see them all! Individuals, groups, families, friends, and neighbors! Follow this link to the free registration https://tinyurl.com/HH25Float. First, second, and third place to be announced at Hoff’s Park that morning, where Haddon Heights Neighbors will be giving out popsicles and watermelon!

The 4th of July Parade will feature string bands, dance groups, civic organizations, antique cars, decorated bicycles and wagons, costumes and decorated pets.

Want to join in the fun? Please get in touch with Councilwoman Kate Harron at kharron [at] haddonhts.com (kharron[at]haddonhts[dot]com). Participants – lineup information will be listed in mid-June.

Baby/Child Parade

We invite all children 6 years of age and under to join in the Baby/Child Parade! There will be no judging and registration is not required.  All children joining the parade will receive participation gifts and fun decorative wear. The staging location is at the corner of W. Atlantic and Station Avenue (Cabana Candy Corner/Haddon Heights mural location). Families can convene at the corner of W. Atlantic and Station Avenue at 8:45am. There will be no judging, and registration is not required for the baby and child section of the parade. All questions regarding baby/child participation can be sent to Councilman Matt Pagan at mpagan [at] haddonhts.com (mpagan[at]haddonhts[dot]com).

Age 7 to Senior Citizens

We also invite everyone interested (7 years of age and older) to join in and participate in the parade! You can dress up as individuals, couples, or families.  Pets on a leash are also invited to dress up and join the parade. You can also decorate your bike (Please note: HELMETS ARE REQUIRED TO RIDE IN THE PARADE) or non-motorized wagon, decorate your car or put together a float.  Have fun and show your patriotic spirit!

Parade Volunteers Needed

WE NEED YOUR HELP!   We are calling for volunteers to be Parade Marshals! Can you spare 30 to 60 minutes to help us? The parade needs many volunteers in multiple spots to keep everything running smoothly and make sure everyone is safe and having fun! High school volunteers in need of service hours are welcome! If you would like to volunteer, please contact either Councilwoman Kate Harron at kharron [at] haddonhts.com (kharron[at]haddonhts[dot]com) or Julie Yuhaze, 856-547-7164, ext. 34 or jyuhaze [at] haddonhts.com (jyuhaze[at]haddonhts[dot]com) .  Thank you in advance for your help!

Parade Rain Date!

While we keep our fingers crossed and hope for beautiful weather, we acknowledge that Mother Nature may not be on the same page. If rain forces a postponement of the parade, we will hold the festivities on Saturday, July 5 - all times will remain the same.
